The below on-line search facility enables the user to find out
whether a domain name is available under .IN
and, if not, the organisation or entity to whom it is registered
with. It also lists out the various other records associated with
the domain being searched for.
Please follow the instructions as listed here.
- Check the syntax for choosing a domain
under .in
- Enter a name, word or string below(eg.
rediff, 123india etc)
- Choose one of
the domain name categories, under which you require to register
the domain(eg. co.in, org.in etc)
- If you want to check the availability
of the domain in all the categories, select all of
the above. (eg. if you enter the name tata
you will get a list of all the domains having tata
as a part in their domain name and organisation name)
- Click check availability
to see if the domain name entered is available.
- The search is not case-sensitive (i.e. you may use a mix of
upper or lower case letters)
- Do not put www.
in front of the name(eg. www.bse.co.in will not produce
the search results; you will need to enter bse and then
select co.in)
